In the last photo, I've tried to show which part I'm referring to. Many other models don't have this feature, and its role is performed by a locking screw.

This is a locking cap that prevents the revolver tube (<a href="/part/00884"> =- LINK -= </a>) from being lowered too much. It's somewhat similar to the top cap that protects the spring.
