# Description and specifications:
The Vickers Patholux microscope has an interchangeable objective revolver. This is an excellent solution allowing to own, use, and quickly swap entire sets of objectives.

For example, you can have a single Vickers Patholux microscope and separate revolvers already fitted with such objective sets:
- low-magnification objectives for observing macro objects with EPI illumination, without a cover slip (e.g., 2.5x / 3.2x / 5x / 8x)
- objectives for phase contrast; for different phase contrasts: positive, anoptral, variable, amplitude, Zernike
- DIC objectives
- water immersion objectives (e.g., by Lomo)
- all oil immersion objectives (e.g., Leitz 10x Oil, 25x Oil, 40x Oil, and 100x Oil)
- apochromatic objectives for better colors
- polarization objectives
- high-magnification objectives, e.g., for analyzing cell wall ornamentation (50x / 63x / 80x / 100x)
- dark-field objectives (objectives with an iris diaphragm inside)

This way, having only one microscope, you can use it for various purposes without manually screwing and unscrewing all objectives piece by piece every time.
