This is description of this part:
Set of two polarizing sliders for microscopes: the Olympus BH2-NAN-2 slider with a rotatable polarizing analyzer and a rotatable polarizer for Olympus BH-2 microscopes with a reflected light illuminator.
Olympus BH2-NAN-2 analyzer slider:
Slider type: rotatable polarizing analyzer
Rotation: the analyzer rotates within a range of 0-45 degrees
Marking on the slider: Olympus BH2-NAN-2
Model in the manufacturer catalog: BH2NAN2
Dimensions: width 45 mm, thickness: 7.5 mm, overall length: 68.5 mm, length of the inserted part: 48.5 mm
Intended use: for the EPI reflected light illuminator
Olympus polarizer slider:
Slider type: rotatable polarizer
Rotation: the polarizer rotates within a range of 0-360 degrees
Marking on the slider: none
Model in the manufacturer catalog: unknown
Empty position: yes - the polarizer has two positions, one with the polarizing filter and the other empty
Dimensions: width 45 mm, thickness: 6 mm, overall length: 85 mm
Intended use: for the EPI reflected light illuminator
Notes: the absence of any marking on the slider suggests that it is not a pull-out slider, but is permanently mounted in the EPI reflected light illuminator - it can, however, be moved between the empty position and the polarizer position
If you want to use this slider in a different microscope - check the shape and the exact dimensions shown in the photos.
Please note - the commonly used terminology is slightly disordered, and foreign as well as incorrect names are often used. The most common mistake is that the analyzer is called a polarizer - and unfortunately this mistake is so frequent that it has to be taken into account. Here are examples of the names in use:

What is this part needed for?
- if you have a compatible microscope with a reflected light EPI illuminator, but you are missing the Olympus BH2-NAN-2 slider or the rotatable polarizer
