This is description of this part:
Focusing holder for the Japanese Nissho Optical 209 stereo microscope.
This is a complete head holder, consisting of:
- collar that the stereo microscope head is inserted into (in this model it is in fact the objective that goes in there)
- clamping screw that holds the microscope in the collar
- rack along which the microscope moves up and down inside the collar (also available separately https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/91079)
- knobs that produce this movement, that is the focusing knobs (also available separately https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/91063)
- internal shaft with a pinion that converts the rotary movement into vertical movement along the rack (also available separately https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/91064)
- mounting block with a hole for fitting it onto the stand pillar
- inside the hole there is a split clamping sleeve with a screw driven in from the outside, locking the whole holder at the required height (also available separately)
Basic parameters of this holder:
Inner diameter of the collar: 50 mm (yes - 50 mm is not a mistake, this diameter is not commonly used on the market)
Diameter of the hole for the stand pillar: 24 mm (yes - 24 mm. This is not a measuring error)
Since these are unusual dimensions and you may suspect a measuring error, the gallery contains photos taken with a caliper as well as a photo of the stand pillar. The pillar is not part of this offer, but I do have it - if you need it, that is no problem :)
It is very likely that Nissho Optical (NSK for short) uses identical holders across the whole series of stereo microscopes it manufactured.
What is this part needed for?
- if you own a Nissho Optical 209 stereo microscope but the original holder is missing
