This is description of this part:
Rear lens from main objective f=90 mm for MBS-10 / MBC-10 / OGME-P3 stereo microscope
The rear lens is the thick, concave-convex lens sitting closest to the bayonet (a dovetail in ring form) inside the objective. In other words, it is the lens in the objective that sits closest to the microscope body.
The spelling MBC-10 is a common but incorrect transliteration from Cyrillic (original spelling: МБС-10). The Latin-alphabet equivalent of this name is MBS-10. People who do not read Cyrillic often write the name of this microscope as MGC-10.
Basic parameters of this lens:
Manufacturer: LZOS Lytkarino (Лыткарино)
Note on the manufacturer: LOMO (ЛОМО) is commonly but incorrectly given as the manufacturer
Lens name: rear lens
Correction type: the lens is a component of an achromatic objective
Focal length of the complete objective: f = 90 mm
Optical system type: this lens is part of a CMO - a common main objective (a single objective for both stereo paths)
This lens does not fit the f=190mm objective of this microscope.
The MBS-10 microscope was also sold under the names:
- OGME-P3
- SF-100 (on the US market)
- Silver Connection MBC-10 (mainly on the German market)
These are exactly the same microscopes, so this lens also fits the objectives of models sold under those names.
Note that this lens does not fit the objectives of the MBS-1 / MBS-2 / MBS-9 stereo microscopes (nor those of the MPS polarising stereo microscopes), and it does not fit any biological microscope - not even biological LOMO microscopes.
What is this part needed for?
- if this lens in the objective of your MBC-10 stereo microscope is damaged or of very poor quality
