This is description of this part:
Binocular microscope head with a third output for a camera or photo camera, i.e. a trinocular microscope head for the AmScope T720 microscope.
This is a fully integrated element that is mechanically mounted at the very top of the AmScope T720 / T720Q microscope. It consists of:
- binocular eyepiece head
- angled tube
- output for the third optical light path, i.e. photo output
Basic technical parameters:
Manufacturer: AmScope
For model: AmScope T720 series microscopes
Diameter of supported eyepieces: 30 mm
Method of mounting to the microscope: dovetail with a diameter of 52 mm
Photo output diameter: 23.2 mm internal, 32 mm external
Replacement of the microscope head in the AmScope T720 may be necessary, for example:
- if you have a microscope purchased on the used market and the microscope head is missing, which is not uncommon because this element can be unscrewed
- if the binocular head has broken off from the entire upper photo tube in your microscope. Such damage is common when the microscope is hit during transport
- if the optics in the existing microscope head have been damaged: lenses or prisms. This may include scratches caused by improper cleaning, delamination of prisms, or cracked lenses
What is this part needed for?
- the element is useful as a replacement if the trinocular head in your AmScope T720 microscope becomes damaged
- this element is necessary if you have purchased an AmScope T720 microscope on the used market and the microscope head is missing
- examples of when the microscope head should be replaced are given in the description
