This is description of this part:
NOTE - This is a component for the older version of the Beck Diamax microscope - the one with the illuminator housing extending beyond the microscope base.
This is the external part of the Beck Diamax microscope's illumination system. It's a "lamphouse" with an internal field diaphragm that allows for Koehler-style illumination.
What is this part needed for?
- Because this element protrudes from the microscope housing, it is often missing from used microscopes, either because it gets lost or damaged.
- This element will also be useful if the field diaphragm (iris diaphragm) on your microscope becomes damaged.
