There are several models of mechanical microscope stages from Carl Zeiss Jena designed for microscopes of the Mikroval series. They differ mainly in the placement of the control knobs used for movement in both axes, for example:
- the Ergaval model has a short handle with control knobs
- the Amplival model has a long handle
- some variants of the Laboval model had a stage without a handle with control knobs, where the knobs were arranged horizontally on both sides of the stage.
However, many of the individual components used in these stages are identical.
Many of these stages can also be used interchangeably with other microscopes of the Vertival series, which means that many microscopes today no longer have their original stages. For this reason it is best to examine the photos carefully to make sure that the element shown and offered here will fit.
In the photo gallery there are detailed photos of this element together with the dimensions. Additionally, in the last photo an arrow indicates which element is being referred to and where it is located in the microscope head, in order to clearly identify this part.
What is this part needed for?
- as a repair part by replacing the entire damaged element
- if you have a microscope stage where this element still works but is of very poor quality
- this is a great base for this if you want to build your own microscope stage - and you need the original mounting connector
