Note - some models have different dimensions for these screws, for example, longer ones.
Note - older models of the Carl Zeiss Jena Lg microscope use a different screw.
Note - the small screw at the front of this part unscrews in the OPPOSITE direction than most screws, and this is the most common cause of damage.
What is this part needed for?
- Sometimes this screw is missing in used microscopes.
- Very often, the tiny screw in this element is broken or missing.
- This element often has dried grease.
- This screw is often damaged because when it wouldn't turn due to dried grease, someone used pliers to turn it.
