The relatively soft cooling fins of the heat sink are susceptible to damage, and good and efficient passive cooling is very important in an HBO 250W illuminator.
In Carl Zeiss Jena Jenalumar microscopes, the large HBO 250W fluorescence illuminator is attached to the Spiegelhaus for light beam splitting. It has two such heat sinks – one at the bottom and one at the top of the lamp housing.
For certainty, the photo gallery shows the exact dimensions of this element. The last photo shows the complete illuminator from which this element was removed, allowing the compatibility to be confirmed with certainty.
