This is description of this part:
Original grease for servicing Carl Zeiss Jena microscopes, type Gleitfett III E410.
I have not managed to find any documentation describing how the individual Gleitfett grades differ in their parameters.
Gleitfett I E10 and Gleitfett II E75 were supplied with the Carl Zeiss Jena micromanipulator.
The Gleitfett III E410 offered here was supplied with the Carl Zeiss Jena Neophot-21 microscope.
This MAY suggest (although I have no proof in the form of manufacturer documentation) that the lower numbers (I and II) and the lower values of the "E" parameter (E10 and E75) were intended for finer mechanisms - and may therefore have a lower viscosity, for example. The III E410 grease, with its high "E" value, was supplied with a heavy microscope built around massive mechanics - so it may well be thicker.
This grease can of course be used on microscopes from other manufacturers as well - a few are listed in the "compatibility" section, but that is by no means a complete list.
