Due to their very high quality, they are often used with microscopes from other manufacturers, especially when Carl Zeiss Jena Planachromat objectives are mounted.
8x eyepieces are best suited for microscopes equipped with a head with a magnification of 1.5x or 1.6x. In such cases, using 10x or higher eyepieces can result in excessive magnification and sometimes poor image quality. In such cases, 8x eyepieces provide the best image and optimal magnification.
