This external Hertel & Reuss illuminator is used to illuminate both mirror microscopes, simple stereo microscopes, and advanced microscopes like the STE-6.
Modell: STELA
The unit offered here was used with a Carl Zeiss Stereomikroscope II microscope (as seen in the last photo).
It originally used an incandescent bulb, but over the years, someone replaced it with an LED and connected a transformer. It has a bracket that allows for mounting to virtually any microscope.
