This is description of this part:
A pair of 8x eyepieces, one of which is "regular" and the other with a scale (with a measuring micrometer). The micrometer (measuring) eyepiece is adjustable (focusing), and the scale can be focused or removed from the optical path. The "regular" eyepiece is an IOR 8x. The measuring eyepiece is designated IOR (+) (crosshair logo) M8x (M = measuring).
What is this part needed for?
- If you have a Romanian IOR microscope without eyepieces and want to use the original eyepieces
- If you have an IOR microscope with other eyepieces but want to have these eyepieces as a set
- If you need to take measurements (with any microscope) and need measuring eyepieces
- If (in a microscope of any brand) you have a head with 1.5x or 1.6x magnification (in the head or in the intermediate tube), then 8x eyepieces are the best choice for perfect image sharpness
- If you want to use these eyepieces with your microscope of another brand
- If you want to have these unique eyepieces in your collection
