This is description of this part:
Left plastic front cover plate with interpupillary scale for the Leitz Wetzlar 512821/20 microscope binocular head and similar heads.
This is the left one of two covers that close the internal interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism from the front (https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/99929). The second, right cover is shaped differently and is a separate item (https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/99931).
The interpupillary scale is printed on the left cover - there is no printing on the right cover. When the interpupillary distance is changed, the right cover covers or uncovers part of the left cover and with it part of the scale placed there - and this is how the interpupillary distance value is read.
The cover is made of plastic and is screwed with four screws directly to the brass carrier plate, to which the eyepiece tube (https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/99928) is also fastened.
This cover was removed from the Leitz Wetzlar binocular head P/N 512821/20 (also written 512 821) - but exactly the same one is used in other models of binocular and trinocular heads as well.
The same front panel design is found in, among others, the Leitz 512 923/20 and Leitz 512 815 trinocular heads - this cover will most likely fit those too.
Before you decide to use this cover in a Leitz Wetzlar head other than model 512 821/20, first compare the exact dimensions (the photos show a millimetre scale), and if you have any doubts, ask in internet groups and forums.
This is a service part for a microscope head - not for a specific microscope model. Such a head can be mounted on many Leitz Wetzlar microscope models (and even on microscopes from other makers), so no list of microscopes this cover fits can be given - it fits the head, and the user mounts the head wherever he wants.
