This is description of this part:
Double-sided microscope mirror, plane and concave, for the LOMO Biolam / LOMO Erudit microscopes and all similar models.
The most important thing for the user are the dimensions of this mirror, because they let him make sure that the mirror will fit the microscope he owns - regardless of the manufacturer.
Features and dimensions of this mirror:
Mirror type: double-sided, one side plane, the other concave
Diameter: 51 mm including the housing, so it is what is called a 50 mm mirror
Thickness: 7.5 mm
Mounting on the microscope: pushed into a matching hole, horizontally under the stage or vertically in the base of the microscope
Diameter of the mounting pin: 4 mm (+/- 0.3 mm, because the pin is slotted inside and can be expanded / squeezed)
Material: glass mirror with a silver reflective layer under the glass
Housing: mirror in a silver-coloured metal ring
Holder: the round mirror in its housing sits in a black metal holder with a mounting pin
Such mirrors, with the housing and the holder made entirely of metal, are widely used to replace missing parts in many older microscopes during restoration - regardless of the manufacturer and the model of the microscope.

- as well as those microscopes sold in Germany under the Bresser brand (Bresser Biolam / Bresser Erudit)
- and the same microscopes sold in the U.K. under the Zenith brand
- Lomo Biolam 70
- Lomo Micmed 1
LOMO also supplied mirrors with those versions of the LOMO Biolam microscopes that were sold with incandescent or halogen illuminators, so that the user could work with his own external light source.
In the last photo in the gallery you can see the complete Lomo Biolam R-1 microscope. In that photo I point out with an arrow where the mirror is located on the microscope - so that it is completely clear which part is meant.
In the "compatibility" section I list only a few models of microscopes that this mirror fits. It is definitely not a complete list.
ЛОМО marked the series in Cyrillic letters, so the letter engraved on the microscope does not always mean what it seems to mean at first glance: Д stands for the Latin D, but the Russian C is read as S and the Russian P as R.

An interesting detail is that microscope mirrors (specifically their concave side) are very often sought after by women for small cosmetic tasks, especially on the face. They use these mirrors because the concave side brings everything much closer (a magnifying effect), and they are suitable for, among other things:
- treating small skin blemishes
- removing fine hairs
- grooming the eyebrows
