This is description of this part:
This is a prism for the left (L) eyepiece in the binocular head of the LOMO MBC-1 stereo microscope. It also fits the LOMO MBC-2 model.
Note - "MBC" is written in Cyrillic, therefore the Latin alphabet designation of this microscope model is MBS-1 / MBS-2.
Notice: This prism is installed under the LEFT eyepiece. The left and right prisms, although similar - DIFFER and must not be interchanged, even if it is possible "by force".
This prism is mounted on a metal base which is screwed into the head under the eyepiece tube. This metal base allows adjustment of the prism in order to achieve perfect image collimation, meaning that the images for the left and right eye are aligned.
