This is description of this part:
Rack gear (so-called toothed rack) for coarse focusing (macro focus).
In the Lomo MBB-1 and Lomo MIN-8 microscopes, the microscope arm remains stationary, and focusing is achieved by raising or lowering the microscope stage. This is the opposite of how it works, for example, in the Lomo Biolam model, where the arm moves up and down.
Along this rack gear offered here, the entire assembly of the microscope stage holder and the condenser is moved. This assembly is driven by a gear wheel mounted on a shaft located between the coarse focus knobs.
This is an original brass rack gear, not a plastic 3D print. The set includes two mounting screws (the upper and lower ones differ from each other).
