This is description of this part:
The stand column holder with the coarse focus rack forms the fixed part of the focusing body of the Lomo MMU-3 metallurgical reflected-light microscope.
This microscope part performs two essential functions:
- mounting the microscope body onto the stand column
- providing coarse focus (macro movement) along the permanently mounted rack
More precisely, this assembly consists of the following components:
- stand column clamp
- stand column locking screw
- dovetail guide on which the microscope body with the optics moves
- rack on which the microscope body with the optics moves
Please note:
- the original Cyrillic designation of this model is: ЛОМО ММУ-3
- for people using the Latin alphabet who know that the manufacturer is "Lomo", it visually appears as: Lomo MMY-3
- however, the original designation is pronounced: Lomo MMU-3
The last photograph in the gallery includes an arrow indicating exactly which microscope part is being offered and where it is installed inside the microscope, making it easy to identify this component unambiguously.
