This is description of this part:
Lamphouse for the Meopta DRU-3 microscope.
This unit contains an iris diaphragm (field diaphragm), allowing the illumination to be set according to Köhler standards.
The device consists of:
- a slot for mounting the illuminator
- the iris diaphragm
- an angled mirror
- a place to insert 32 mm diameter filters
Note - the set does NOT include an illuminator or bulb, so there is no light source. This is only the "housing".
What is this part needed for?
- if you own a Meopta microscope and want to use this lamphouse
- if you want to use this component for a microscope from another manufacturer
- as a service part for replacement, if you have a complete illuminator that is damaged (e.g., broken iris diaphragm, oxidized reflective layer on the mirror, or cracked protective glass) or of very poor quality
- if you want the original lamphouse to make your own illuminator, e.g., with an LED bulb
