This is description of this part:
Nikon C-SP polarizer for Nikon Eclipse microscopes
The C-SP is a non-rotating polarizer mounted on the illumination port (illumination condenser with field diaphragm) in the microscope base. It can be swung out, thereby removing the polarizing filter from the optical path. This means that it does not need to be removed when working in brightfield without polarization.
The catalog number of this component is: MBB75370.
Mechanically, this polarizer can be mounted on, among others, the following Nikon Eclipse series microscopes:
- Nikon Eclipse E400
- Nikon Eclipse E600
- Nikon Eclipse E800
- Nikon Eclipse 50i / 55i
- Nikon Eclipse 80i / 90i
- Nikon Eclipse Lv
- Nikon Eclipse Ci
- Nikon Eclipse Ni
Note - in commonly used terminology there is some inconsistency and foreign as well as incorrect names are often used:
- polaryzator
- polarisator
- polarizer
- polariser
- filtr polaryzacyjny
- filtr POL
- circular polariser
- CPL Filter
- POL filter
- polarisations Filter
- polarization Filter
- anaizator
- analisaor
- Analysator
- POL analizer
- polarization analyser
IMPORTANT: For polarized-light work, a rotating analyzer, an insert with a rotating analyzer, or an intermediate tube with a rotating analyzer is required to be used together with this Nikon C-SP polarizer.
What is this part needed for?
- if you already have a rotating analyzer for polarization but are missing the matching polarizer
- if you need a polarizer for your own DIY project
