This is description of this part:
EPI reflected light illuminator for Olympus BH series microscopes.
This illuminator can certainly be used with the following models:
- Olympus BHA
- Olympus BHM
- but possibly also with others from the BH series
This illuminator allows operation in the following modes:
- EPI-BF (bright field in reflected light)
- EPI-DF (dark field in reflected light)
- EPI POL (polarization after installing a filter)
The set includes the light source (bulb).
Note - originally these illuminators work with Olympus NEO series objectives, but I have seen DIY modifications for standard RMS objectives.
What is this part needed for?
- if you have an Olympus BHA or BHM microscope and need an EPI illuminator for it
- if you already have such an illuminator but it is damaged or in very poor condition
- if you want to mount this reflected light illuminator on another microscope
- if you want to build your own DIY device
