It is used to attach any head (mono, bino, trino, photo tube, etc.) to the microscope body, but not exclusively.
This head mount is used as a standard 43 mm dovetail connection in many PZO microscopes and microscope accessories:
- PZO Biolar, MB-30 microscopes, some versions of Studar, ML-5, ML-6, and others
- PZO OE-1 and OE-4 EPI illuminators
- MPI-5 and MPI-3 DIC head
- PZO KS stereo contrast attachment
- magnification changer attachment
- photographic tubes for the PZO MNT6 trino head
- PZO MST-130/131 stereo microscope attachments (adapter for T6)
Users often install this PZO head mount on microscopes from other companies to use the PZO DIC.
