The deflecting mirror is a component located in the base of the microscope that reflects light vertically upward using a mirror.
This component from the PZO Biolar microscope is commonly (incorrectly) called AK11.
The component shown here is used; it's obvious that such an old mirror isn't "like new" - but it is in very good condition.
