Eyepiece tube with a maximum length of 50 mm for the microscope head of Steindorff Berlin.
This is a tube with an assembled diopter adjustment ring that allows correction of vision defect in one eye and proper image focus adjustment.
Basic parameters:

Steindorff Berlin produced two main types of binocular microscope heads:
- with straight tubes
- with diverging tubes in the "Y" standard.
In each of them, eyepiece tubes with a length (maximum length measured with the diopter adjustment ring fully unscrewed): 45 mm or 50 mm could be installed.
I was not able to find information what this depended on:
- maybe some tubes were older and others newer
- maybe some were designed for TL=170 mm and others for TL=160 mm
- maybe some matched objectives FL=37 mm and others FL=45 mm
