This is description of this part:
Mechanical sliding microscope stage for reflected light (EPI) applications with a precision movement mechanism for the Wild Heerbrugg M20 microscope.
This stage allows both standard front-back and left-right movement using the adjustment screw and control knob, as well as smooth manual sliding by hand (clearly visible in the attached video).
This stage is mounted to the Wild M20 microscope in the same way as a standard XY stage, using screws.
Note - this stage may have either an opaque metal insert plate or a transparent glass insert in the center (if transmitted illumination from below is required). The example presented here has NO insert installed.
What is this part needed for?
