This is description of this part:
Angle tube, i.e. a part of the Zeiss 452907 binocular head (alternative notation: 45 29 07), most commonly used in Zeiss Axioskop microscopes (e.g. Axioskop 20). This element provides an ergonomic, inclined positioning of the head relative to the user's eyes.
The element with manufacturer part number 452907 consists of two main parts:
- angle tube
- binocular head (also referred to as binocular).
Here, only the angle tube is shown and offered, without the binocular head.
Basic parameters:
- mounting to microscope stand: 57 mm dovetail
- mounting of the head to the angle tube: three screws
Important: other Zeiss binocular models can also be mounted on this angle tube, not only the one originally installed in the Zeiss P/N 452907 head.
What is this part needed for?
- as a service part if the prism in the existing tube is damaged
- if you have a binocular head without an angle tube (e.g. from a Zeiss Axiovert 100 microscope) and want to mount it on a Zeiss Axioskop 20 microscope
