This is description of this part:
The eyepiece mounting tube has a diameter of 23.2 mm. The tube has a slot for use with POL polarizing eyepieces (including measuring and DIC/DIK). The tube is universal ? there is no difference between right and left lenses.
It has a pin on the bottom for operating the interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism.
What is this part needed for?
- Very often, this tube is dented and the eyepiece cannot be inserted into it.
