This is description of this part:
Dovetail rail connector with clamping screw for mounting the intermediate tube to the arm of the Zeiss Photomicroscope / Universal microscope.
This is the mounting interface for the main optical tube, with the photo port on one side and the dovetail rail for attaching the objective nosepiece on the other.
In the last photographs in the gallery, an arrow indicates exactly which component is being shown and where it is located in the microscope. This makes it possible to identify this microscope part unambiguously.
What is this part needed for?
- as a repair part by replacing the entire damaged element
- if this element still works but is of very poor quality
