This is description of this part:
Service element / repair part for mechanical XY microscope stage from Carl Zeiss (West Germany).
Name: two brass longitudinal guides.
This part was removed from a Zeiss stage P/N 47 33 56 (473356-9901), however stages with other part numbers (e.g. Zeiss P/N 4693640) have an identical design, therefore it most likely fits many models of round Zeiss stages.
Such stages are interchangeable and can be installed in many Zeiss microscopes, however they are most commonly used in the following microscopes:
- Zeiss Universal
- Zeiss Photomicroscope (so-called Zeiss Phomi)
- Zeiss Ultraphot
In the photo gallery there are detailed images of this element together with dimensions. Additionally, in the last photo an arrow indicates which part is being referred to and where it is located in the stage, in order to clearly identify this component.
What is this part needed for?
- as a repair part by replacing the entire damaged element
- if you have a microscope stage where this element still works but is of very poor quality.
