This is description of this part:
Microscope base for Zeiss Standard GFL microscope.
The set consists of:
- stand base
- illumination collector
- field diaphragm required to set illumination according to the Koehler standard
- slot for inserting the illuminator
- angled mirror reflecting the light beam
Important - some versions have a base with a removable illumination collector module with a field diaphragm. This base has this module permanently mounted (screwed), but there is no difference in operation between these versions.
Important - the base does not include the illuminator. The Standard GFL model uses illumination with a 6V 15W bulb mounted in a holder (Lampenfassung). This illuminator is connected to an external transformer. It is a separate component and is not included with the base.
