Wide-field lens, used when working with low-magnification objectives. Thanks to this lens, the entire visible image is evenly illuminated.
This is an element for repair or upgrade of a microscope condenser by Carl Zeiss Jena, model Abbe 1.2.
Please note that this is an element (component) for a microscope part (condenser), not for a specific microscope model.
The Carl Zeiss Jena Abbe 1.2 condenser is available in the following versions:
- with a wide-field lens mounted at the bottom of the condenser, below the filter holder
- with a filter holder only, without a wide-field lens
With this lens, you can upgrade your condenser if it is not equipped with one.
What is this part needed for?
- as a service part for replacement if the lens in your condenser has broken off, been damaged, or has very poor optical quality
- as an additional element that you can screw onto your condenser if you have the version originally without the lens
- if you want to install such a lens in a condenser from another manufacturer
- if you need such a lens for your own DIY projects
