This eyepiece is most commonly used in microscopes with a 30 mm eyepiece mounting diameter:

Interestingly, binocular heads with a 30 mm eyepiece mounting diameter are sometimes also installed in older microscopes of the Mikroval series (e.g. Ergaval and Amplival) - in such cases this eyepiece will also fit them, because - in general - eyepieces fit the head mounted on the microscope, not the microscope itself.
A single Carl Zeiss Jena PW 6.3x (25) eyepiece can solve the following problems:
- a second 6.3x eyepiece is missing to complete a pair
- a low magnification eyepiece is needed for use in a trinocular photo tube
What is this part needed for?
- if one of your eyepieces has been lost and you need another to complete the set
