This is description of this part:
A complete condenser module for a vintage (so-called "vintage") German microscope by Dr. Adolf Schröder, Kassel.
- Condenser (lens assembly in the housing)
- Condenser holder
- Oblique light module with iris diaphragm and diaphragm lateral adjustment mechanism
- Condenser vertical adjustment knob, rack, and pinion
Vintage Dr. Adolf Schröder microscopes used optics from Otto Seibert, Wetzlar. These microscopes may be manufactured in Wetzlar, but are engraved with the name "Dr. Adolf Schröder, Kassel." Therefore, it is highly likely that parts are compatible between these two microscope manufacturers.
Oblique light allows observation in transmitted light and obtaining convex images of the colorless objects we are observing (DIC effect).
What is this part needed for?
- When you have such a microscope, but it's not complete and is missing this particular part.
- When you have a damaged condenser or some part of the entire system.
- When you want to use this condenser in another microscope to obtain an image similar to DIC.
