The optics (lenses) in this microscope objective are in very good condition.
There's no manufacturer's marking on the objective lens. Because lenses from different manufacturers looked very similar at the time, I'm not sure whether Hertel & Reuss manufactured the lenses themselves or ordered them from another company (e.g., Leitz). Therefore, these lenses can be safely used with microscopes from many other manufacturers.
