Transmitted light optical path tube for the Leitz Dialux 20 microscope together with an angle mirror.
This is an element mounted inside the microscope base. It transfers the light beam from the illuminator, properly focuses it using lenses and then reflects it vertically upwards using an angle mirror. This microscope element carries the manufacturer part number Leitz Wetzlar 020-452.010-025.
This part may solve the following problems that can occur in the Leitz Dialux 20 microscope:
- if artifacts in the form of lines are visible in the microscope image - this may indicate a crack in the light-collimating lens caused by high temperature emitted by the illuminator
- if the light-reflecting mirror is damaged: scratched, chipped, cracked or if the silver coating has oxidized
