This is an element mounted inside the microscope base. It transfers the light beam from the illuminator, properly focuses it using lenses and then reflects it vertically upwards using an angle mirror. This microscope element carries the manufacturer part number Leitz Wetzlar 020-452.010-025.

This part may solve the following problems that can occur in the Leitz Dialux 20 microscope:
