The spelling MBC-10 is a common but incorrect transliteration from Cyrillic (original spelling: МБС-10). The correct equivalent in the Latin alphabet is MBS-10. People unfamiliar with the Cyrillic alphabet often write the name of this microscope as MGC-10.

Manufacturer information: LOMO (ЛОМО) is commonly but incorrectly given as the manufacturer

Optical system: CMO - common main objective (one objective shared by both stereo light paths)
Number of lens elements: 4
Mount: bayonet (dovetail), 52 mm diameter, secured with a screw
Working distance: approx. 100 mm (measured on the actual unit)
Additionally: an illuminator holder (ring) is mounted on the objective
The MBS-10 microscope was also sold under the following names:
- OGME-P3
- SF-100 (US market)
- Silver Connection MBC-10 (mainly on the German market)
These are exactly the same microscopes, so this objective also fits the models sold under these names.

Please note that this objective does not fit the MBS-1 / MBS-2 / MBS-9 stereo microscopes (nor the MPS polarizing stereo microscopes), and it does not fit any biological microscope - not even Lomo biological microscopes.
