This is an element of the microscope head.
- based on the color I believe that this is a part manufactured by Nikon (from experience)
- based on the spacing of the screw holes I believe that this is the element to which a binocular tube (so-called "binocular") is attached
- it is NOT the actual bottom part of the microscope head housing, as in Nikon microscopes this is usually made of a metal casting (from experience)
If you are looking for this element because you need it to replace the one you have and which is, for example, damaged - then based on detailed photographs with a centimeter scale you will certainly recognize whether this is the part you need.
