Notice - unfortunately I have lost the documentation for this element, therefore both the description and the information regarding compatibility and origin are NOT CERTAIN, however according to my best knowledge the description should not be incorrect.

This is an element of the microscope head.
- based on the color I believe that this is a part manufactured by Nikon (from experience)
- based on the spacing of the screw holes I believe that this is the element to which a binocular tube (so-called "binocular") is attached
- it is NOT the actual bottom part of the microscope head housing, as in Nikon microscopes this is usually made of a metal casting (from experience)
