This is description of this part:
Focus knob for the coarse focusing holder of the Japanese Nissho Optical 209 stereo microscope.
Basic parameters of this knob
Outer diameter of the knob: 45 mm
Diameter of the knob on the focusing holder side: 28 mm
Mounting on the pinion shaft: the knob has a threaded hole into which the pinion shaft is screwed, as the shaft is threaded at both ends. Once screwed in, the shaft is additionally secured with two screws
Threaded hole diameter: 5 mm
It is very likely that Nissho Optical (NSK for short) uses identical knobs across its whole range of stereo microscopes, or more precisely: in the head holders of those microscopes. I give the dimensions of this knob in the parameter block so that you can check compatibility if you are looking for a knob for a model other than the "209".
The focusing holder of a stereo microscope contains two such knobs. Both are identical, so there is no difference between the right-hand and the left-hand knob. I offer each of these knobs separately, as a single item.
The last photo shows the coarse focusing holder of the Nissho Optical 209 stereo microscope, with an arrow pointing out which knobs are meant and where they are located.
What is this part needed for?
- as a service part, if you need to replace a damaged knob
- if you own a Nissho Optical 209 stereo microscope but a knob is missing from the focusing holder
- if you have checked the knob dimensions and want to fit it to a different Nissho Optical stereo microscope
