Lomo AU-26 bottom angle mirror prism - photo gallery

This is description of this part:

This is the main angular mirror prism from the large, black Lomo AU-26 binocular microscope head.

Typically, in other heads, such prisms are mounted with the head's mounting (usually a dovetail of various sizes). In this case, this is not the case, as the magnification changer is located below the prism, not directly on the mounting socket.

What is this part needed for?

• if your head is delaminating, chipped, cracked, scratched, or discolored on the prism
• if the mirror surface is oxidized
• if fungus (mold) has destroyed the anti-reflective surface
