This is description of this part:

Second collector lens of the Koehler transmitted-light illumination for the base of Carl Zeiss Jena Jenaval / Jenalumar microscopes.

The base of Carl Zeiss Jena Jenaval and Jenalumar microscopes (and of Carl Zeiss Jena Jenavert microscopes, if they are equipped for transmitted light) holds a set of lenses that collimate the light beam. Together they form the Koehler illumination collector, even though they are not mechanically connected to each other.

Here I present a module consisting of:
- the second collector lens in the sequence
- the metal mount holding the lens
- the screws for fastening the mount with the lens to the microscope base

The last photos in the gallery show the complete base of a Carl Zeiss Jena Jenaval microscope. An arrow indicates which part this is and exactly where it sits, so the part can be identified unambiguously.

This lens in its mount fits the bases of the following microscope models:
- Carl Zeiss Jena Jenaval
- Carl Zeiss Jena Jenalumar
- Carl Zeiss Jena Jenavert

Note - Carl Zeiss Jena Jenavert microscopes come in two versions: reflected light (EPI) only, and reflected (EPI) plus transmitted light. The lens presented here fits both versions, but in the version without transmitted light... it simply has nothing to do :)
