This particular example shown and offered here was removed from a Carl Zeiss Jena Jenamed Cytology microscope. The stage in Carl Zeiss Jena Jenamed microscopes is a flat, smooth surface permanently attached with screws to the microscope body, onto which cross table mechanisms or specimen holders are mounted - various versions depending on individual needs. Mechanically, this stage consists of two elements: - a smooth upper steel surface attached to the cast form underneath - the lower cast form (with manufacturer number), which is attached to the microscope body Both parts have an opening for the microscope condenser. The condenser is mounted from the underside of the stage (condenser available separately). Metal cast or injection-moulded microscope parts made by Carl Zeiss Jena have their own numbers.
