The angled tube (German: Winkeltubus) is the component visible in the last photos in the gallery. This component is mounted to the microscope stand, and the binocular head is screwed onto it at an ergonomic angle.

On this page, I offer the interior of this angled tube.

but it is very likely also compatible with the identical, but non-motorized (manual) head number 11505146.

For the motorized movement system in the Leica 11505145 head, this prism is mounted on a carriage which may differ from the one moving the prism in the manual version of this head (11505146). To use this prism in the trinocular head 11505146, it must be removed (prism only) and re-glued into a new position.

Leica photo-trinocular heads, numbers 11505145 and 11505146 are compatible with microscopes:
- Leica DM4000
- Leica DM4500
- Leica DM5000
- Leica DM6000
- and likely others

Note - the prism shown here has a minor chip on a corner outside the optical path. It does not affect operation and is not visible in the wide field of view.

By MISTAKE I wrote an "L" (as in "left") on this element. In reality this is a RIGHT prism, so please do not be misled by the letter visible in the photos. I repeat: this is a right prism.

The prism is attached to the thread onto which the eyepiece tube is screwed. At present this forms one combined assembly.
