Wetzlar binocular head P/N 512821/20 (also written 512 821) - but exactly the same tube is used in other models of binocular and trinocular heads as well.
The same front panel design is found in, among others, the Leitz 512 923/20 and Leitz 512 815 trinocular heads - this tube with diopter adjustment will most likely fit those too.
Diameter of the eyepieces it takes: 23.2 mm.
In the Leitz bino 512821/20 both the left and the right tube have diopter adjustment. They are mechanically identical parts - there is no difference between the left and the right tube. They can be swapped.

The set offered here consists

of:
- two brass carrier plates, each with a round seat for the eyepiece tube (it is to these plates that the tubes https://www.microscopeparts.eu/part/99928 are screwed)
- a central scissor lever made of plastic, with its fixing screw
- two pressure springs (one for each brass plate)
Turning the central lever moves both brass plates outwards symmetrically. It is exactly this constant work of the plastic central lever against the brass plates that wears the plastic lever out - and then it has to be replaced.
This mechanism was removed from the Leitz Wetzlar binocular head P/N 512821/20 (also written 512 821) - but exactly the same one is used in other models of binocular and trinocular heads as well.
The same front panel design is found in, among others, the Leitz 512 923/20 and Leitz 512 815 trinocular heads - this interpupillary mechanism will most likely fit those too.

There is no printing on the right cover - the interpupillary scale is printed on the left cover. When the interpupillary distance is changed, the right cover covers or uncovers part of the left cover and with it part of the scale placed there - and this is how the interpupillary distance value is read.
