Leica DM-serie microscope binocular PN 11505193 prism and tube lens

The name of this microscope part.

Leica DM-serie microscope binocular PN 11505193 prism and tube lens

Description of this part for the microscope.

This is the internal component of the angled tube for the microscope head of Leica DM series microscopes (e.g., DMLB, DMLS, or DM-1000).

Manufacturer: ...

Leica
Head model: 11505193

The angled tube (German: Winkeltubus) is the component visible in the last photos in the gallery. This component is mounted to the microscope stand, and the binocular head is screwed onto it at an ergonomic angle.

On this page, I offer the interior of this angled tube.
- metal internal structure
- mirror angled prism
- lower lens (as far as I know, this is a focal lens, also known as a "tube lens" for infinity correction).

If I'm correct that this lower element is a "tube lens," then it's a sought-after component:
- by macro photographers to use infinity lenses
- by people wanting to convert their 160mm/170mm microscope to be compatible with infinity-corrected lenses.

Leica DM4000 / DM6000 - beam splitter prism for P/N 11505145 / 11505146 microscope trinocular head

The name of this microscope part.

Leica DM4000 / DM6000 - beam splitter prism for P/N 11505145 / 11505146 microscope trinocular head

Description of this part for the microscope.

Beam splitter prism for Leica trinocular microscope head.

This specific prism was removed from a motorized trinocular head (manufacturer number 11505145), ...

but it is very likely also compatible with the identical, but non-motorized (manual) head number 11505146.

For the motorized movement system in the Leica 11505145 head, this prism is mounted on a carriage which may differ from the one moving the prism in the manual version of this head (11505146). To use this prism in the trinocular head 11505146, it must be removed (prism only) and re-glued into a new position.

Leica photo-trinocular heads, numbers 11505145 and 11505146 are compatible with microscopes:
- Leica DM4000
- Leica DM4500
- Leica DM5000
- Leica DM6000
- and likely others

Note - the prism shown here has a minor chip on a corner outside the optical path. It does not affect operation and is not visible in the wide field of view.

This service part may solve the following issues with Leica trinocular heads 11505145 and 11505146:
- how to remove fungus from a prism?
- can delamination in a Leica head prism be removed?
- can a mirror inside the prism be repaired if it has oxidized?
- cracked prism in a microscope head
