This condenser fits microscopes from many manufacturers (e.g. Steindorff Berlin, Zeiss, Carl Zeiss Jena, Leitz, Kremp Wetzlar, Will Wetzlar and many others) with a condenser holder diameter of 39.5 mm.

eyepieces can be used with microscopes from any manufacturer, as long as the microscope supports eyepieces with a mounting diameter of 23.2 mm.

This is an external electric illuminator for older type microscopes that use a mirror as a light source.

Mirror microscopes may have the mirror mounted vertically or horizontally, and this lamp (this illuminator) is compatible with both mounting types, as it has two mounting pins.

Note that this illuminator uses bulbs with a standard E14 socket, so an LED bulb can also be installed.

The PZO LM-2 illuminator has a place for a round filter with a diameter of 32 mm. Typically, the following are placed there:
- a diffuser to achieve uniform illumination
- a blue filter to convert the yellow, warm bulb light into a more white (cool) light
- or a blue diffuser to achieve both effects at the same time

Note - the PZO LM-2 illuminator is a so-called "simple" illuminator and does not allow achieving Koehler illumination. An external microscope lamp operating in the Koehler standard is called PZO LMK.

This is a universal microscope lamp and can be used with microscopes from many manufacturers.

It may be interesting to note that this transport case was manufactured in 1977 and is still in excellent condition!

This type of wooden storage case is very often used for storing other microscope models, not only those made by PZO.

PZO - a company that existed until 2005, although it had ended mass production about a decade earlier.

By default this model of the binocular head was fitted to PZO Studar microscopes. It also suits other PZO microscope models:
- all models of the PZO Studar student microscopes
- PZO MB biological microscopes, for example PZO MB-10 and PZO MB-30
- PZO MS school microscopes, for example PZO MS-4
- PZO ML laboratory microscopes, for example PZO ML-5 or PZO ML-6

When you use this binocular head on PZO MS / ML and MB microscopes, keep in mind that these microscopes were sold by default with the PZO MND-4 binocular head of 1.5x own magnification. With a head of 1.25x own magnification the total magnification obtained on the microscope will change.

Although this binocular head mechanically fits PZO Biolar microscopes - I do not recommend it. Other PZO binocular heads are intended for PZO Biolar microscopes.

Please note that PZO Biolar and PZO Studar microscopes look very similar to each other, and most of them carry no model name.
