Halogen lamp (bulb) holder for Carl Zeiss Jena Ergaval and Amplival microscopes (including their variants).

NOTE - VERY IMPORTANT: it is not the case that having a CZJ Ergaval / Amplival microscope with a classic illuminator (6V 15W filament bulb) and simply replacing the bulb holder with the one offered here will create a halogen-illuminated microscope. No.
- the original holder of the "regular" bulb contains a lens that collimates the light beam
- the halogen bulb holder does not contain that lens
- Ergaval / Amplival microscopes designed for halogen illumination have an additional lens threaded into the base

Halogen illumination is (according to many experts) the best microscope illumination because it delivers strong light with a full spectrum, whereas LED often provides only a portion of the color spectrum.
