Description

Stand for Carl Zeiss Jena Technival-2 and Citoval-2 stereomicroscopes.

This is a complete stand consisting of the following elements:
- base (foot) (Si 2490)
- metal plate for the base, black on one side and white on the other
- vertical steel post (stand)
- rack gear of the vertical movement mechanism
- focusing block with adjustment knobs (manufacturer's catalog name: Mikroskoptrieb 65 mm)
- holder to which the microscope body is mounted directly.
In the operating manual ([[ LINK ]]), these elements are numbered 1, 2, 3 and 35 on page 4.

Please note that the original rack gear used in Carl Zeiss Jena Citoval-2 microscopes is made of plastic and this component is very frequently damaged. Metal, cast or injection-moulded Carl Zeiss Jena parts carry their own identification numbers. This base (foot), into which the vertical stand post is screwed, bears the number 2490 (full designation: Si10 2490).

The Carl Zeiss Jena Technival and Citoval microscopes (older version without the number "2") are grey, while the Technival-2 and Citoval-2 models are white. This stand is white and is therefore intended for the newer Carl Zeiss Jena Citoval-2 and Technival-2 stereo microscopes.
